Week 6 Notices

Welcome back to week 6 of our last term! We are really trying to make the most of every minute as a class now that there are only 4 and a half weeks left of the year....crazy how fast time is flying by!

Just a few notices for this week...

Inter-school Athletics: This is on Tuesday for all of those students who were selected to participate. All the best for it and we hope you have a wonderful day, giving everything a go with a positive attitude! We will be supporting you in spirit!
No Swimming this week: We had some wonderful swimming sessions with Swim Rotorua last week! We will now not be having any more swimming again until week 9.
SVA Action Day: Wednesday is our big day! Thank you to all of those parents who have volunteered to help us out. We will be leaving by 8.45am so please make sure your child is at school by 8.30am. One of our teams are organising morning tea so do not worry about bringing morning tea for the day. We will be doing a variety of things, including:
* Reading stories we have written to an elderly friend.
* Encouraging our elderly friend to do brain exercises by asking them 10 questions.
* Running group activities with them in our teams - outdoor activities, morning tea prep, origami, board games, and cat care.
* Sharing morning tea.
* Entertaining them with a concert that is completely organised and run by our students!
We will return back to school at approximately 11.30am, so please still pack your own lunch.
Reliever on Friday: On Friday I am attending a Science course down in Wellington along with some other staff, to support Mr Bach with his science investigations. A new reliever will be in Room 12 for the day, and I am sure our children will be very welcoming and helpful towards her.
Production: We worked with Monica Moore last week on our production song and the feedback I heard is that we are doing an awesome job! We will be continuing to practise and improve every afternoon this week. Please also practise remembering the dance and lyrics at home. Everyone who has a main role, there have been some changes to practise times...
