This week should hopefully be a smooth and consistent week. In Room 12 we will be exploring Forensic Science through a House of Science Kit called 'Who Dunnit?' We will also be further exploring self-regulation as we continue to participate in mindfulness each afternoon and will look more closely into the four zones of regulation. It is really important that we learn how to understand and regulate our emotions while we are young, so I am hoping that including these activities and mindsets in our classroom will support this. It would be great if you could promote these zones of regulation at home and support your child in talking about their emotions on a regular basis.
Dr Lucy Hone is doing a talk around building resilience at JPC on Tuesday evening. Staff are attending a talk in the afternoon and then there is another session in the evening for Parents to attend. Have a look at the flyer below for more details if you wish to attend.
Thank you to those parents who have kindly offered to attend our class trip with us in Week 10. I will be in contact with you this week to finalise details. We need to keep our fingers crossed for sunny weather this day...as the majority of the day will be based outside!
I hope you all have a fabulous week.
God Bless,
Nicole Hunter
